Use with MetaGrow ST3 to temporarily direct soil biology to consume chitin-based proteins and increase microbe population diversity and function. Contains 15% calcium so use in soil preparation and to address low Calcium plant nutrient status.
Directions for use: MetaGrowTM CFOOD is a wettable powder and can be applied through most irrigation systems, as a foliar spray, in transplant water, in pre-plant treatments, sprayed on a berm, or water run in furrow irrigation. CFOOD will pass a 80 mesh filter (177 micron) so check for application method compatibility. Use rates will vary from 0.1 lb per acre up to 50 lbs per acre, depending on crop, the number of applications, and application timing. If injecting into an irrigation system, irrigate normally injecting the desired rate of CFOOD.
With other application methods, dilute the CFOOD with 10 gallons of water (or more) for each lb of CFOOD.
When soil applied, follow the application with additional water to ensure the CFOOD is washed into the soil. When foliarly applying, apply when canopy temperatures are below 90 oF. To prevent excessive foaming during tank mixing, fill tank 1/2 to 3/4 full before adding CFOOD and avoid splashing of water during filling. 1/4 – 1 cup of vegetable oil can be used per tank of material as an anti-foaming agent if desired.
